I attended one of Jim White's workshops several years ago and I'm still using the techniques that I learned in how to manage a meeting, how to manage people and how to utilize my exta time to improve my personal life. I have used the 80-20 rule and have found that I utilize my time much better. I ended up sending all my management team to his workshop. We cut all our meeting from 4-5 hours to 1-2 hours and completed more. We have saved lots of money in improving our company efficiencies. I would reccommend that you attend at least one workshop. I had sixteen managers and myself participate in the Circle of Success a few years ago when I was with a previous non-profit employer. I firmly beleived it helped me and my direct reports in communicating effectively and permiting greater teamwork to occur. I became a strong believer in goal setting and this was one of the benefits of the training. I do know that personal communciations increased afetr the training and the majority of particpants approached their jobs differently and with more passion that before the training. Jim White and his "Circle of Success" management program have been the most significant skill set I have learned and utilized in my 25 year management career. I have known and worked with Jim White for the past 10 years. I am currently working as a successful management Executive in a non-profit Retirement Community. In utilizing the excellent management tools learned through his Programs, and Jim White's personal consulting/involvement, our Retirement Facility is thriving! My husband and I attended Jim White's Circle of Success program in May 2004. We really appreciate Jim's care and concern for us personally and for our success in life. We discovered that we owned a business in which we had no heart for. So we consider his work with us to be a catalyst for moving into the calling of our souls. We have now launched a new business called, The Power of Guided Purpose(TM). This is our Guided Purpose(TM) in life. We help people get clear about what their unique calling is and begin stepping into it.
We have been able to apply many of the superior business ideas and principles of Jim White's teachings to our new business. What is really useful about the Circle of Success Model is that is very well-rounded and includes "personal growth" as an important piece of the puzzle toward success.
We have found the DISC model he uses very beneficial for understanding the behavior orientation of others we work with. Although we do not have employees, we do have affiliates and this tool is useful. The DISC has also helped my husband I communicate much more effectively with each other!
We have used Jim White's model of the Vision, Mission and Values for our new business and this has helped us define what we are all about. His time management module has been very helpful in helping us stay focused on priority tasks for creating our personal and business productivity and stay on purpose in our Purpose. The feedback module was tremendously helpful, as we had our own colleagues point out our strengths and weaknesses. My general weakness was lack of confidence in May of 2004. I would say on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being HIGH confidence and self-esteem, I was about a 3 as I was not really doing what I loved in life. Now having found my true calling I would say my confidence level has improved to about an 8!!
